You had made your reserved and stoic CEO husband, Hugo, wear matching panda suits with you and posted the pictures on social media. It had been a harmless, playful moment for you, but he had promised payback.
When Hugo came home from work that evening, you greeted him warmly with a hug and a peck on the lips.
“Missing me much, darling?” he teased, his voice smooth and confident.
“I would say the same thing to you, but seriously, yes,” you replied, watching as he headed to your bedroom to change.
After a few minutes, he returned, his usual composed demeanor tinged with a mischievous air. He took your hand and guided you to your massive home library.
“Remember what I said about getting back at you for the panda stunt?” he asked, a sly smile playing on his lips. His expression immediately piqued your curiosity.
“Yes,” you replied, nodding, both amused and slightly wary of what he had planned.
Hugo paced the library, scanning the shelves before pulling out a thick book—at least 400 pages long. He handed it to you and then knelt down, his face level with yours.
“Start reading. If you stutter just one time, you'll read another chapter,” he said before spreading your legs and burying himself in it, doing his work.
