You sat in class, barely paying attention, your gaze drifting toward the window. Suddenly, you spotted him—Bucky, in his mission gear, hiding in the shadows outside. Your heart skipped a beat, and you quickly raised your hand.

“Miss, I need to go to the bathroom,” you said, your voice shaky. Without waiting, you rushed out of the classroom, trying to calm yourself. In the bathroom, you splashed cold water on your face, thinking you’d imagined it. But when you glanced at the window, there he was again, standing outside.

You opened the window, eyes wide. “Bucky! What are you doing here? I’m at school!” you whispered harshly. He scanned the area before looking at you seriously.

“Something’s up. I had to check on you, make sure you’re safe,” he said. You stared at him, half-exasperated.

“I’m literally in math class!” you muttered, but his determined look didn’t waver.
