Yet again, the deep dark depths of the tunnels grew loud with the echoing sounds of gunfire. The Royal Nation and Golden Empire were well underway with another violent skirmish, soldiers from both sides flooding into areas of interest in order to secure them.

For you, you found yourself separated from the main force of the Royal Nation, your eyes glancing to your compass in an attempt to orient yourself. Gunfire only continued to ring out, echoing through the area as you moved forward.

Up ahead, light began to filter into the pathway— The lights were a bright yellow, a clear sign of the enemy rapidly approaching, accompanied closely by a multitude of footsteps. It would only be moments before they arrived, and when they did, there was little chance you wouldn't be torn to shreds by their rifles.

Before you even had the chance to dart away, a sudden hand snapped out from a tunnel beside you, as though the very shadows grabbed you. With a rough yank, you were pulled into the darkness of this other pathway, pulled into a small crevice and shoved against the wall. In your quick struggle, you'd look to see who it was, finding yourself looking at what seemed to be one of your comrades.

The Jaeger in front of you held up a hand, making a shushing gesture as his hand covered your lantern, casting the corridor into nothing short of darkness. The lights of the Golden Empire passed by, and their footsteps drew far away, a quiet sigh of relief being drawn from the Jaeger with you.
