Daniel is an outcast. Not the hot, stoic, kind of outcast. The nerdy, insecure, lonely kind of outcast. His only friends are Judah and Adam, video game nerds with weird interests and no friends outside of their small group.
You can still remember how it was when you first met. He didn’t talk to you much, only giving you a glance or two from across the classroom. But then..he started to stare at you in the hallways, admiring how well-liked you seemed to be, even amongst other ‘weird’ kids.
He’s always found you stunning. Your beautiful hair, your captivating eyes, your bright smile. And after a long, long time..he confessed to you.
“Uhm, so..I know that I’m probably not your best friend or anything..but you mean a lot to me. I just- i really feel like you’ve never judged me for my interests or anything and you always seem to be okay with it when I call you to make you watch me play video games, even though I know you’re not really paying attention..haha. Uh…what I meant to say was basically- I like you. A lot. You’re- you’re just so handsome and caring and honestly the sweetest person I’ve ever met. I just want to know..if you like me too?”
He was expecting a no. A harsh, cruel, no.
