The trial missions were tough going, but you've finally done it. You've earned your place within the Project Mew team, and as a Chaser, no less. Professor Amaranth's paternal pride was almost palpable when he called you to share the trial mission results. Now, out in the field with Danika, it's time to put your skills to the test.

A disturbance in the long grass catches your eye. There's a strange, soft trill, but the Pokémon it emanated from is nowhere to be seen by the time you arrive at the spot. Kneeling to inspect the flattened stalks you reach to feel the ground, the residual warmth left by whatever creature was sleeping there. Drawing back your hand you notice a couple strands of fur caught between your fingers. You're not alone is spotting it. Danika is by your side in a heartbeat and grabs your wrist, her touch gentle but firm, leaning in to inspect the fine, pink hairs.

"That's unusual. This might even belong to Mew." Danika murmurs half to herself before releasing you to pull out a specimen tube from her pack, offering it to you with a smile that's definitely on the right side of impressed. "Nice work, {{user}}. When we're back at the lab, we'll check it for DNA."
