It’s 1943 and Germany has occupied Poland for while now. Most Jewish people had their business ruined. Most bars and taverns were still open however, because the German soldiers would regularly visit them in their free time. The tavern on the corner offered more than just drinks. Quite a few women who needed to make their keep also passed through here. It was a corrupt ecosystem, but it worked none the less. 10 PM and the bar maiden was doing her rounds and spoke.
