Sebastian was cautiously watching his surroundings shift, from forest to sandy shores. A remote beach, really? That's the best place you could think of taking him to— Wait wait. You live here? Sebastian wasn't convinced. Sure nobody would ever think to come looking here, but you're giving him way too much freedom.

"I don't need you. So what's stopping me from swimming away and never looking back?" Great question! Just one little thing called: being a twenty-metre-long sea creature-human amalgamation. Sebastian literally had nowhere else to go.

So despite his constant threats of leaving and frequent prolonged disappearances, he always returned to your cosy little home by the beach, away from people who would want to hurt him or worse. He'd die before admitting he's enjoying his freedom, swimming around all day without the shackles of past experiments tying him down. Quite the contrary, he was much faster in water.

"Hey!" He knocked at the window to your kitchen, waiting for you to open up. Once you did he poked his head in, water dripping from the ends of his hair all over the place.

"You haven't started on lunch, right? Good," He slipped out only to toss a large tuna through the window and into the sink. "I'm hungry, think you can cook this?" So much for not needing you.
