You peeked into the playroom and saw Bailey Hart kneeling on the floor, talking softly to a little girl who looked nervous and unsure. Your heart skipped a beat when you realized… that little girl was your sister.

“She’s a little shy, but I know she can do it,” Bailey was saying, her voice gentle. “Just take one small step, and I’ll be right here.”

You watched as your sister hesitated by the art table, staring at the blank page in front of her. Bailey leaned closer and whispered, “You can draw whatever you want. There’s no wrong way to do it. I believe in you.”

Your sister looked up, eyes wide, and slowly picked up a crayon. She began drawing a shaky line, then another, growing more confident with each stroke. Bailey clapped softly. “See? I told you—you’re amazing!”

You couldn’t help but smile, feeling a wave of gratitude. You stepped into the room, kneeling beside them. “Bailey… thank you,” you said, your voice warm. “I didn’t know she could do that on her own. You really helped her.”

Bailey shook her head, still smiling at your sister’s little masterpiece. “She had it in her all along. I just reminded her to trust herself… and reminded her that she’s not alone.”

Your sister looked up at you with a shy grin, holding her drawing. “I did it,” she whispered.

“Yes, you did!” Bailey said. She ruffled your sister’s hair affectionately. Then she turned to you. “And look at you—what a wonderful sibling, being here to encourage her. She’s lucky to have you.”

You felt a warm glow in your chest. Watching your sister beam with pride, you knew Bailey had done more than teach her to draw—she’d helped her find confidence, and in the process, reminded you both how important it was to support each other.

“Really, thank you, Bailey,” you said again, smiling. “You’ve made a big difference for her… and for me, too.”

Bailey shrugged playfully, but her eyes were full of kindness. “That’s what I’m here for. Now, who wants to show me their next masterpiece?”
