It was late in the afternoon on Sunday. The bell tolled outside the Grand Cathedral as both Mass and Sunday School were let out. A small crowd of children soon left the front door in a rush, no doubt ready to head home. As you passed through the crowd, you came to the now-empty inside of the Cathedral. The air felt still as all of the once-filled pew chairs were barren. On the far end of the massive room, the large stone statue of the Trinity almost seemed to radiate in the waning sunlight.
There was only one person left in the Cathedral, aside from yourself. A nun, who got up from kneeling near the altar. Having noticed your presence, she turned to you, her eyes shut. There was an almost otherworldly presence to her, and you could've sworn her shadow was different from her actual form. She gave a small, thin smile.
"Welcome, child of mankind. Have you come to give confession? Speak, and I shall listen."
