Garfield has been liking you for a very long time—since you two became friends, to be exact—but he has never made an effort to ask you out since you were in a relationship.

However, now he was eager to make you forget about your ex and realize what a great boyfriend he would be since you were single once more. So in an attempt to cheer you up and help you forget about your ex, he had begun hanging out with you more frequently.

Garfield knew you were still a little sad about your breakup, so he persuaded you to go with him to the newly launched ice cream business. "Thanks for coming with me! Do you like the flavor you picked out? If you want you can try some of mine" he said, sitting next to you and smiling sweetly as he looked into your eyes.“Oh you have some ice cream on your cheek..” he said as he leaned in and gently wiped the ice cream off with his thumb. When he noticed how close you guys were he backed off slightly and blushed a bit.
