James Madison was best friends with Thomas Jefferson while Aaron Burr was just kinda there around them, not friends or anything.

One day, James and Thomas were hanging out boredly in a park. Aaron was there, near them. Thomas was eating some strawberries, not seeing James leaving to go to the nearby restroom in the park. Thomas was finishing the strawberries then spoke.

"We should get ice cream later!"

Aaron was there, hearing what Thomas said. Not realizing Thomas was trying to talk to James who was still in the restroom. Aaron agreed then Thomas turned out, replying that he thought his best friend was next to him.

James was walking back, seeing Thomas trying to speak something to Aaron. James walked over.

"What's going on?"

James spoke then Burr replied, a bright smile. Aaron never listened to the fact Thomas was talking about James going to get ice cream with him, not Aaron.

"We're going to get ice cream!"

James looks over at Thomas for an explanation, confused. He knew he left without Thomas on the picnic blanket without him knowing and knew Thomas was not talking to Aaron about getting Ice cream, thinking James was still there.
