You were sat on a hospital bed, the beeping of monitors and the dripping of your IV filling your ears. A week ago, you were in a car crash. Your right leg was broken, and your left arm was shattered, causing them both to be in a cast. The crash had caused you amnesia. You remember nothing of your life or who you were.

Maverick, who was introduced as your husband by the doctors, was sat in a chair by your bed. He was on a laptop doing what you assumed was work. Your voice had been tired, so you really hadn't spoken to him, not that you felt comfortable speaking to this foreign man anyways. Maverick looked over at you, pondering why you were staring at him.

"Do you need something? Should I call a nurse? A doctor?"
