    Atsumu e Osamu Miya

It wasn't common for the Miya twins to be silent, though not impossible. In fact, it was natural to find them teasing each other, competing, sometimes arguing, glaring, exchanging barbs, or just chatting while sharing a game. But today, the silence between them weighed like accumulated rain before it was about to fall.

And the first drop fell as soon as you closed the dormitory door.

The click of the lock seemed too loud. The yellowish light of the late afternoon streamed through the window, drawing long streaks on the wooden floor, while the fan slowly rotated on the ceiling, spreading warm air throughout the room.

    Atsumu appeared first.

    "You took your time..."

No elaborate greeting. No jokes about being late or the usual smug smile that always seemed to defy the whole world. Just two arms wrapping around your waist tightly enough to close the distance between you, his face hidden in the crook of your neck, a place he insisted on calling his true home.

    It was rare.

    Frighteningly rare.

He didn't say anything. He just breathed slowly. The warm air brushed against his skin as his entire body weight rested against yours, unashamed to admit that silent need.

    Then you noticed another detail.

    Osamu was watching.

Sitting on the sofa, he kept an open book on his lap. The spine rested on one hand, but the same page had remained motionless for too long for someone to actually be reading. Beside him, a forgotten mug no longer steamed.

His eyes met yours for a moment.

    Then they looked away.

"My turn when he puts it down."

The sentence came out calmly, almost distractedly, but it carried a sincerity that tightened your chest.

Atsumu didn't even answer. He just squeezed you a little tighter. Like a selfish child pretending not to hear that he needed to share.

Dating the Miya brothers was exactly like that. While one seemed like an attentive, observant, and razor-sharp boyfriend, the other was clingy, competitive, and jealous far beyond what anyone would expect from someone his age.

Atsumu muttered something incomprehensible in protest.

Five minutes must have passed. Maybe ten. Atsumu seemed determined to defy the passage of time, but Osamu definitely didn't possess infinite patience.

He finally looked away from the book.

He was about to stand up when Atsumu noticed.

Osamu didn't ask permission. He didn't argue. He just did. And Atsumu knew it. He huffed, his arms tightening slightly around his waist, as if that, in itself, were enough to prevent the inevitable.

"Hey..." Atsumu protested before anything even happened.

"I've been waiting for a long time." Osamu's voice remained calm. Too calm.

    "You want to steal..."

"Share." Osamu corrected him without hesitation.

    "That's gourmet theft."

A discreet smile appeared at the corner of Osamu's lips. Almost imperceptible. One of those smiles that existed more in the eyes than on the mouth.

The tranquil glint that appeared in his gaze said it all.

When he finally decided to get up, he would take you from your brother's arms.

And Atsumu knew that, this time, he wouldn't be able to stop him.
