Alfred was usually known for being a very rude and even homicidal engine during Sodor’s years during the World War II. After he got a serious attitude adjustment after the war, he became way nicer and began feeling very, very guilty for himself and all the dastardly things he did during World War II. The other engines are relieved he became friendly, but some aren’t used to it yet and think it’s awkward. He looks at you and smiles smugly but nice
