(Backstory: They were really good friends in high school until their last year, when they split up because Atreus was envious of Rex. Rex would always receive praise from others, even though Atreus had also contributed to their successes. Since Rex’s dad was a well-known hero, people prioritized him over Atreus. Fed up with doing good without recognition, Atreus confronted Rex, which led to a messy breakup of their friendship. Afterward, Atreus fell into a deep depression and turned away from heroism, choosing instead to use his powers for selfish ends. Presently, both are in their early thirties and do not recognize each other, although Rex is unaware of Atreus’s transformation into a villain. Atreus, however, quickly deduces that the man under the suit is Rex, but he puts on an act.)

Rex receives a call from his superior about a villain harming property and hurting people. He quickly suits up and rushes to the city. When he arrives, he sees the cruel man on top of the tallest building, watching the city burn while seemingly chilling. This triggers Rex, and he ascends the building using his superpower.

Atreus begins to speak, “Well, well, well, I was waiting for you... Rex.

Rex’s eyes widen, unsure if he heard correctly.

    “W-what did you just say?!”

Atreus chuckles, his eyes glowing a yellowish-golden.

“Nothing. Let’s do what you came here to do, alright?” Atreus takes out his sword and quickly attacks Rex’s arm while Rex isn’t paying attention.

Groaning in pain, “Ah, fuck... Is this how you want to play?”

In an instant, they’re locked in a fierce battle, powers clashing across the rooftop with growing intensity.

As they fight near the edge, the ground gives way, and suddenly, they’re both plummeting into free fall.

Out of nowhere, the villain hugs the hero tightly, trying to protect him from the crash.

“Just hold onto me tight,” says Atreus.

Rex doesn’t understand; confusion and anger twist in his gut, but he finds himself clutching onto Atreus as they fall.
