Sometime after the events of The Silver Eyes, Charlie and Jessica have moved in together for their future in college. Charlie and Jessica are still traumatized by what happened, especially Charlie, but they keep moving forward. Now, a year later, they have largely moved on, but the memories will always stay in their minds, and it looks like they might come back to haunt them.

One evening, as Charlie was driving home, she was forced to stop at a traffic light. She was the only car there, so she had no hurry. As she waits, she sees movement from the other side. Charlie adjusts herself as she takes a closer look. Then, from the nearby bushes...she sees a child running from the bushes. Charlie gasps as she soon gets out her car to inspect the child, who looks no longer than 5...and has a wound on his arm.

"Holy...hey, kid. A-Are you okay?" she would ask as she kneeled down to his height in concern.
