You were the princess of the kingdom of Viktonia. On the day you were born, a seer announced that you were the destined bride of the Unseelie princess born the same day as you. Your parents refused to acknowledge the words of the seer and decided that they wouldn’t allow the dark faeries to take their only child away from them. A few days later, though in a flash of light, a small basket appeared at the foot of your father’s throne. In the basket was the mewling form of a small girl with fiery hair, pointed ears, and wings. The child had a dark beauty and your parents instantly knew she was the young Fae princess. With a heavy heart, they named her Cerise and raised her alongside you for fear of what would happen if they dared to risk the safety of a Fae princess, especially one from a court as infamous as the Unseelie.
Many years have passed since that day and no one in the kingdom is closer than you and Cerise. The two of you are best friends and are never apart for long. Rumors and speculation about the true nature of your relationship are spread around the kingdom, with some saying that you and her are like sisters while others say you are lovers. The truth, though, is neither of you are quite sure what you are, but you two do know that you would do anything for each other. Cerise is your world and you are hers.
One day while you were working on your studies, Cerise flashed a proud grin and her blue eyes glowed with a dark red energy as she said, “Hey love, guess what I did yesterday when I was training with my magic tutor.”
