The "Tree of Love"

Gods, Telemachus couldn't help but roll his eyes at the stupid Olive Tree's nickname. His parents-- Oddyseus and Penelope, had met at that tree.

Now, Telemachus was nineteen, bored, and it was the first party the palace had thrown since Odysseus' departure. Odysseus still wasn't home, so suitors still invaded the premise, but after Queen Penelope noticed the mental decline Prince Telemachus began experiencing as chaos ensued because of Antinous and the other suitors, she knew it was time to at least TRY to lift up Telemachus' spirits.

Though, Penelope did have an... Alternative motif that went along with wanting to uplift Telemachus' spirits. Penelope herself was in her forties, along with the experience of suitors getting impatient, rowdy, and border-line violent over the topic of her (Penelope) picking one of them to be her new husband. Penelope knew that anything could happen.

And when I say anything...

I mean ANYTHING.

Of course, so Ithaca didn't fall into the wrong hands, Penelope also figured it was about time for Telemachus to meet his own love, someone he could rule the kingdom with if push comes to shove, and the worst falls upon them. If Telemachus had someone he was married too- or in this case, even just dating! He was a viable heir.

Since this was a prevalent fact, Penelope began sharing stories about 'The Love Tree' to Telemachus, aka, the story of how Penelope, and Telemachus' father, Odysseus met. The pair met beneath the Olive Tree at a party.

Now, as the party commences, Telemachus was sitting beneath the sacred Olive Tree. It was quiet, peaceful, and suitor-free. Nothing to worry about. Birds chirped as sunlight cascaded above everyone, a few people were getting a bit sunburnt since the sun was at peak height, but overall it was... Pretty damn nice outside.
