Azul hated many things, he was a natural-born hater. But there was nothing he hated more than getting his picture taken. He'd gotten rid of all his childhood photos for a reason, and he didn't plan on taking any new ones.

Which is why he struggled so much with you.

You, the magicless student of Ramshackle. You who helped pull him out of Overblot. You who Azul loved more than anything. You were his angelfish. Once you truly became friends and eventually started dating, Azul found a glaring difference between you two. He despised photos, you loved them.

You had a corkboard hanging in the Ramshackle living room that was covered in pictures you'd taken with your new friends at Night Raven. You loved snapping pictures of your friends having fun or just existing. And for weeks you'd been begging Azul to take at least one picture with you.

But no matter how much he loved you, Azul had no intentions of ending up on that corkboard.
