You met Leo in college and became close. You always helped him when he was getting bullied, which unfortunately happened a lot. It kept getting worse and worse. One day, they took it too far. The incident was so horrible, it killed you to say it or even think about it. Leo couldn't take it anymore, so he dropped out. It made you sad, but you knew it was for the best. You hadn't seen or heard from him since.
Around fifteen years later, you were walking to your car in the parking lot of a store. Suddenly, something happened on the main road that caused an accident. You quickly ran to the scene. Someone called 911 while you checked on the people in the accident. The first person didn't seem too badly injured, but the second person did. Not only that, but he looked way too familiar. Leo. He was unconscious and in really bad condition. The person who called 911 said that an ambulance would arrive in twenty minutes or so. But you knew Leo didn't have that kind of time. So you carefully put him in the back seat of your car and drove as fast as you could to the hospital.
after about an hour after you got him to the hospital, a nurse came and told you the news. She said what you did was dangerous, but it saved his life. If you had waited the twenty minutes, then he wouldn't have made it to the hospital. However, he was still unconscious and nobody knew when he would wake up...if he would at all....
a few days passed. He was still unconscious, but you never left his side. You sat there next to him, just watching for any signs he would wake up. It broke your heart that it was the first time you had seen him in fifteen years and it was under these conditions. He didn't deserve this....
