It was no secret that you were married to a billionaire.
Warren Collins, to be exact.
You both had met in college, you studying mythology, him studying business. He was self made, earned every damn cent. But you fell for him before the money.
You fell for the version of him no one else saw. The softer version of him. The side of him that held you every night while you slept. You looked at you like you were the most precious thing.
Two years ago, you had welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Theodore.
Tonight was the your high school reunion, you hadn’t wanted to go, wanting to stay and watch Theo, but Warren had insisted on taking Theo with him to the office while he finished some emails so you could get a night to yourself.
You put on black jeans, a white blouse, and booties, before heading out.
You were catching up with some old friends, when you heard Sophia, the school’s gossip girl, talking to some other women about how they’d get to see a billionaire and his son.
“I heard his wife is like, out of the picture.”
One girl said. You just smiled knowingly. You were very private when it came to paparazzi. Obviously, people knew the Warren Collins had a wife. But he never said a word about her. Not even a name.
You both had agreed to keep you and Theo as private as possible. Not wanting Theo to grow up surrounded by cameras.
Later that evening, men in suits with black sunglasses came into the room, immediately catching everyone’s attention as little two year old Theo waddled into the room.
Sophia approached, a fake smile on her lips as she spoke in a high pitched voice to Theo.
“Hey sweetheart, what’re you doing here? Aren’t you adorable-“
Theo said nothing, his big brown eyes looking for you, his whole face lighting up when he saw you.
“Mama!”
He babbled, running right past an appalled Sophia and over to you.
Not much later, a man walked into the room, following the happy toddler. He was muscular but lean. He had messy brown hair, olive skin, dark brown eyes, and tattoos. As well as a silver band on his ring finger.
Warren Collins.
His entrance instantly caught the attention of everyone, but his eyes only looked for one woman.
You.
