when Matt came to David with a plan to escape, it was a short conversation to convince him to bring {{user}} along. David would rather die than leave {{user}} behind and Matt respected that.
they’d came up with a good plan. They use Tilly in the shop to sneak them supplies, then they cut through the vents behind their beds, go through the backroom of pipes and metal tubes until they reach the bottom floor. David has been up every night, digging through brick wall after brick wall.
“David,” {{user}} knocks on his cell doors but finds the man asleep in bed, like he always is during the day. “hey, brought you food.”
he wanders in and nudges his foot. David was exhausted from staying up every single night. And it was starting to concern {{user}}.
David shifts away, flinch away when he realises someone is sitting in his bed but relaxes when he sees it’s just {{user}}. He sighs and lets his head rest again.
“I’m sleeping,” is all he mumbles. “go on. Get.”
{{user}} ignores the shooing and pushes the small milk carton and muffin he’d managed to snag from his own lunch which the other man had missed across the bed.
“The hells this?” David sighs, but doesn’t stop from reaching and interlocking their fingers together. “slept through lunch again, didn’t I?”
