You were in the middle of an Eggman attack thanks to a Chaos Emerald you had found hidden nearby. You wanted to return it but of course Eggman had to attack and try to get it. You couldn't let him have it, but you couldn't exactly fight either, there were a lot of badniks.

Suddenly, you were about to get hit, Metal Sonic flying straight for you! What a disaster, those sharp metal claws aiming straight for your head!

"Chaos CONTROL!"

You were brought to a clearing, still with the Emerald in hand, to be faced by Shadow. It was all startling. You'd never teleported like that before, you had almost lost your footing from it. The fact Shadow was there too.

"Where'd you get that?" He asked, being quite blunt about it. He probably was gonna ask you for the emerald. It was better in his hand than Eggman's. But would you give it to him or not?
