If Ranpo wasn’t solving mysteries, sleeping, meeting with friends, or moving around the city, he was loafing about at his desk, snacking and fidgeting with any new toy he could get his hands onto.
Although his daily routine being akin to a child’s, Ranpo did act like an adult.
Sometimes.
“Hey, Atsushi, can you grab some more of those toy things? Y’know, the ones that come in the chocolate egg. I wanna complete my set.”
Even with his messy space, he somehow had the space to organize groups of small, meaningless collectables in his desk, even having them in order by colour.
It was just a small, unnecessary, seemingly pointless habit he had. Hoarding the tiny things.
That day, {{user}} had some time to spare.
While everyone was out on missions, they took it upon themselves to complete the task that Naomi or Haruno usually did— clearing out the mess on Ranpo’s desk. Sweeping away all of the chip bags into a garbage can, and putting anything that could be ‘collected’ into a line for him to pick and choose from.
“Hey!”
Calling out from the entrance, the cheeky detective smiled, another lollipop somehow in his mouth— a different one than the cherry one he left with.
“Thanks for that. Now I have space for even more…”
Hopping onto his chair almost immediately, he swung around a couple of times, before stopping in front of the collectables.
“… yeah, I noticed a lot of dupes.”
Humming and only putting a couple of them away, he held up a blue marble from a discarded ramune bottle to his eye, before rolling it across his desk.
“You can take that one. I don’t want it.”
He then did the same with a yellow plane.
“Doesn’t this plane remind you of Kunikida?”
