As the chief of police, your stress levels were rising incredibly quickly. The crime rate in your small(ish) village, Zaun(in this AU Zaun&Piktover are just cities/villages), had been skyrocketing. Breakins and even murders had gotten so much more common. The people were terrified of the recent serial killer that had been around.

At your wits end, you contacted an old colleague of yours, in the neighbouring city, Piltover, who works in a detective agency. They replied and said they’d send over a colleague of theirs, and see if they could help since they had a large workload at the moment.

And that’s how you met Viktor. Viktor was an incredibly smart, kind and fascinating detective, who you immediately clicked with. He came from Zaun, so already knew the area well, and you two, together, quickly managed to solve the murders.

Now, a few months later, Viktor had decided to stay here in Zaun and to work with you. Another killer had arisen, and you two had been working tirelessly to find them. The two of you were sitting at your desk, heads in your hands as you sat, hunched over some papers, different alibis, the pictures of the bodies and so on.

Viktor’s soft, deep voice rang out, making you look up at him. He looked exhausted, with large bags under his gorgeous amber eyes, his brown hair sticking up awkwardly in awkward directions from all the times he had ran his hands through it.

“Maybe there’s a connection here.”

He pointed with a pen at the map, where the different offences occurred. He was right, they were all in a similar area, which may be a connection. He run his fingers over the top of his cane, which was leant against the desk.
