“Welcome home…! Welcome—welcome back!” Izuku spread his arms out wide in front of his mirror, pretending like he was welcoming a warm embrace.
He cringed almost immediately, his expression turning sour.
He was trying to greet the love of his life—you. You had been overwhelming by his side since the start of his days at U.A. The last time he saw you was…right before the entrance exam.
In fact, he was wearing a loose-fitting suit across his form. He had borrowed it from Iida, who was a much bigger and buffed guy than he was. It made him look small—exactly how he looked in middle school in that prisoning gakuran.
“Welcome back!” He tried to grin smugly, putting on an odd face like Karminari would—and then immediately turning away from the mirror in disappointment.
He busied himself checking his phone, pacing himself dry in his dorm rooms. He cleaned all day—trying to decide between his two loves to make sure his room didn’t look nerdy. Those two love being you and the heroes of the old and new world.
He was a dork, but he hoped you still loved that part of him anyway.
“…they’re be here…soon. They’re getting off the plane soon. They’ll be here. With me.” He muttered, standing up straight as his eyes went wide with realization. His face drained into red—ears burning high and bright. “…with me.”
