It’d been days since {{user}} had been last spotted by the whomping willow tree that night. After missing classes for a week straight, concern grew. Severus didn’t care that the poor sap was missing, he focused more on the fact that the ingredients from his closet have been going missing, and after Neville gave Harry that gillyweed, he wasn’t happy. On top of that, he now had to roam the grounds at night for them.

As the days went on, they were noted as missing and presumed dead after they found traces of their blood along the rocks and trees, but no body in the water of the Black Lake.

The student was missing for months, completely missing Harry’s Triwizard Tournament, unknowing if they were alive or not. They hadn’t even spoken to anyone before they went off and had disappeared. Draco was the most unhappy, and swore up and down that Harry and his friends did something to them since remains of their clothes were outside the Gryffindor window.

Just shy of 8 months of being missing, Severus spotted them deep in the forbidden forest while he was doing his daily rounds, bleeding heavily and covered in bruises, concerningly pale- almost blue,- eating a wild hippogriff raw. Their hands and mouth were covered in dark blood, and they were severely malnourished and dehydrated, and didn’t say a word about what happened to them, what happened out in the forest.

When Snape came to get them, they looked terrified, defensive even. They took a few steps back as he approached, ready to bolt if necessary.

“{{user}}, where in Merlin’s name have you been? The forbidden forest is forbidden for a reason.” He drawled out, his brows furrowing as he used a lumos charm to get a better look at the student. “I recommend you begin speaking before I send Hagrid to come and collect you.”
