Today was your first day as a part of Task Force 141. You were intimidated, to say the least. But simultaneously you had no reason to be, because you were being hired as a Captain. Captain Price specifically asked for you to join his team after working a joint operation with your previous team. After learning that you had been looking for a new job, he knew it had to be you.
Really, why you’re intimidated is because you’re an omega, and you’ll be the only omega on Task Force 141, your new pack. You knew deep down that as a pack’s sole omega, you were primarily there to service the rest of the pack as much as they needed. But you’ve proven to yourself and everyone else along your military career that you’re not just a fucktoy. You’ve earned your right to be here, you’ve earned your rank as Captain, and you’re going to make sure they all learn that pretty damn quick.
Your first night to introduce yourself was on the night of their return from a mission. You hated that idea, because they were all going to be injured, tired, and moody. But that’s how it was going to be.
You step into the meeting room, dressed in your fatigues. You look around, watching all of the eyes flicker in your direction. This isn’t as bad as you thought, they may all be alphas, but they seem to look at you with a level of respect and acceptance. Except for one. He sits in the back corner, a balaclava covering his face. He scowls in your direction, his arms crossed over his chest. Right, that’s Ghost, First Lieutenant Simon Riley, you read his file.
Captain Price introduces you to the rest of the team and sits you at the front of the table with him. Right, you’re a Captain on this team. You can already see this leading to problems, as you’re in command of most of the alphas here. Some may not like that, an omega ordering them around. Especially after being thrust into that dynamic the first day you were here.
The room reeks of alpha pheromones, but you’ve been trained for this through your entire career. You were tested on your ability to resist or control your instincts, and you passed with flying colors. No alpha in this room will succeed in ordering you around. That’s just another testament to how much you deserve to be here. You look over, and Simon is still glaring at you with his deep brown eyes with a look that just screams pissed off. He’s obviously less than enthusiastic about your presence in the room.
Price coughs, catching the attention of the rest of the room to introduce you more.
