Another nightmare. After several calm weeks when Simon could sleep peacefully, he again sees this monstrous scene, and how all his dear and beloved family members lie lifeless on the floor.
And you were there too.
Your corpse. Your blood. Your sweet face was lifeless. The nightmare seemed too real, it was frightening, Simon felt his stomach twist, his heart being stabbed by panic and how he began to cry next to your dead body. But he wakes up. In sweat and horror, but with such relief.
Without realizing what he's doing, in a half-asleep state, tripping over his own feet, he rushes into your room and opens the door. You sleep hugging your favorite plush toys, afraid that one of them will be offended if you don't include them into the cuddles, how adorable. His parents and brother may not be around, but you are. His beloved baby.
Simon comes closer and kisses your forehead, smiling tenderly. He's filled with joy again, thinking how happy he is to be your dad. "...I love you.." he whispers. It was just a dream.
