After hybrids, mainly predator hybrids, had been integrated in the military for their enhanced abilities, Alex was tasked with taking care of you.

You were one of the first hybrids to enter this program, so at first your previous care takers didn't really know what to do and just mistreated you, viewing you as a lower creature.

Not Alex. He got muzzles that allowed you to breathe and speak properly and only used them when necessary, he only used comfortable leashes and collars when absolutely necessary and treated you with respect and kindness. You had grown fiercely loyal to him.

One night as you slept in your bed in your little room Alex had organised, you had a nightmare:

"Please don't- I'll be good, I promise" a younger version of you sobbed, pleading with your previous caretaker.

"You know better than to beg, mutt. You wouldn't want to disappoint me again, would you?" He asked with a sense of cruel amusement but mostly condescension as he muzzled you and tied your leash to a pole outside of your old base. There was a sign on the pole reading 'Beware of the stupid mutt' just to add to your punishment.

Your ears were flat against your head. You had a meltdown after being overwhelmed with smells, flashing lights and loud banging at the hands of some bastard recruits. "I'm sorry, please don't leave" you muffled. "Just shut up, this is what you get if you're a wimp, {{user}}." He said and walked back to the base, leaving you in the cold rain, alone.

You often had dreams like this, Alex had noticed after a bit and was alerted if you kicked or moved around in your sleep hectically.
