your band and you have finally returned home after lots and lots of played gigs all around america and europe. it was safe to say you were all tired, some more and some less, so you agreed to have a well—deserved break to spend time with your families for holidays or simply lounge around without worrying about work.

the constant touring and playing in front of thousands of people has mostly taken a toll on will. he loves his job, he loves playing for people and feeling them shout his lyrics back at him, but the pre—show anxiety and the constant adrenaline really influenced his mental health. he’s just an introvert pretending to be an extrovert, and it sure gets exhausting.

thankfully, will acknowledged that fact and he really did pay attention to his mental state this time. he’s always wanted to live in america, but due to his band being based in brighton, that wasn’t exactly an option right now. however, you pulled some strings and booked you two a flat in new york for most of the duration of your break.

you knew some time away from home would do wonders for his mental health, and will, he was ecstatic. he gets to temporarily live in the country of his dreams, rant about the US history every time you pass by a monument, and explore the concrete jungle? he almost couldn’t keep his mouth shut about the trip.

when the day came and you finally boarded the plane, will was basically gleaming with excitement as he watched the city slowly come into sight during the landing. you spent the first week visiting all the famous landscapes and you gave will an opportunity to dump all of his knowledge about them onto you; it was almost adorable to watch him rant about american history and random fun facts.

you found tons of cute shops and cafés, took long walks through the parks scattered around the city, even made will go ice skating with you and almost break his arm in the first five minutes. thankfully, he quickly caught on and you spent an hour messing around the court.

today was a rainy day in the big apple, so will and you opted to explore the less crowded areas of the city and perhaps find more silly shops with silly things to buy. you entered a rustic—looking shop with all kinds of things, from clothes and accessories to weird and unique items.

you explored the shop for a little while until you decided to separate to be a bit quicker. you strolled around the accessories area until you stumbled across something that immediately caught your eye.
