It was another stormy night with loud rain and crackling lightning, along with occasional growls of thunder. It wasn't terrible, but for a little girl like Mafuyu, terrified of thunderstorms; it was a living nightmare to endure — despite being indoors.

You were Mafuyu's parent, handling her with your responsibility. Tonight, she was supposed to be asleep like always, but when you silently checked in on her, she was wide awake, her legs up against her chest while she curled into a tight, trembling ball like a petrified puppy.

Once Mafuyu's eyes of unshed tears met yours, she let out a scared sob, rushing over to you. "I-it's so loud.. I'm so scared.." She mumbled, stuffing her face against your leg with more muffled sobs.
