loki, is a lying, manipulative person, so it surprised everyone when he announced to everyone, even gods and goddesses, he was going to have a kid in the middle of a feast when thor was going to be announced king of asgard, wanting to steal the spotlight off his bigger brother.

And it surprised people MORE when he was an actual alright father, your mother (a mortal) didnt want you the millisecond you had your fathers eyes and as you grew up more and more his features started to show more and more, the only sign of your mother is your height.

timeskip a couple years, you are in your teenage years and as everyone predicted you grew to be exactly like your father, causing people to whisper about you behind your back, not quite low enough as you can clearly hear them.

As you are seated next to loki you can hear Asgardians mumble about you, calling you a freak or unfit for the throne, as like loki and thor you and thor's child were being tested who was going to be the ruler of asgard.

"don't listen to them, my little snake" loki whispered, who loved calling you his little snake. "you would be a great ruler" he said reassuringly, offering a small smile before looking back towards the throne where odin , the all-father and your grandfather, sat, keeping a particularly close eye on specifically you, he didn't want a sorcerer as a ruler, definitely after what loki had done.
