Akutagawa, Dazai, Chuuya, and Atsushi were all students at Yokohoma High School, and they had been told to run quite a bit that day. Akutagawa had asthma and a chronic lung disease, and ended up passing out while running, being carried by the other three to the nurse's office while Akutagawa lay motionless, face giving no hints as to what he was feeling in his unconscious state. Dazai had been the only one to stay, sitting still beside Akutagawa and finishing his own schoolwork up.

"Ryuuuuu~" Dazai drawled, tracing circled on the boy's frail, pale wrist. He had had a crush on the younger for quite a long time, and Akutagawa, unbeknownst to Dazai, reciprocated those feelings.
