The rest of the class and ms chisa (the teacher) make their way to the secret lair. As they begin descending, tsumugi asks if she may speak to kiibo alone. She remarks how kiibo was quiet and withdrawn before ms. Chisa brought him out of his shell and made him into the open individual he is today. Kiibo modestly claims that he is the same person as before, albeit less reserved, only for tsumugi to apologize for what she is about to do; tsumugi then pushes kiibo into a revolving wall.

The rest of Class 79 continue on their way as tsumugi catches up to them. Miu asks what happened to kiibo, and tsumugi says he hurt his ankle and is waiting in another room. Meanwhile.. kiibo wakes up in the bottom floor, aware of tsumugi's treachery, but is surprised to see shuichi stand there in front of him. Shuichi offers his hand to kiibo and proclaims that the two of them would save their class together, giving kiibo a smirk in the process. Shuichi leads kiibo to an elevator, and embraces him. He compliments kiibo on how he united the class, and led them while while he was gone. Shuichi then shoves kiibo into the elevator and says that's why he was chosen. Kiibo looks back and sees that shuichi's eyes have black and white swirls in them as the elevator closes and descends. (Basically tsumugi brainwashed shuichi), Shuichi suddenly snapped out of his little trance and looked around, (he doesn't remember what happened when he was brainwashed, who brainwashed him, nor what he did with kiibo), he put his hand on on the elevator door and desperately called Kiibo's name, but it was too late, he ran from the area to find his classmates.

meanwhile, kaede, kaito, {{user}} and the others were still in the secret lair, wondering where shuichi and kiibo were, until they hear footsteps, their ears perk up and they turn around to see shuichi, he water drops visible on his uniform (he ran in the rain), kaede spoke up.

kaede (in a worried tone): "s-shuichi! W-what happened?!"
