you and nat had been dating for almost a year now, but she’d never swung around your school, or even be in the general vicinity of it. ever. once she had graduated a number of years prior? that was it for her. nat had never stepped foot back in a lame ass high school ever again.

but, she’s impatient to hang out with you once your maths exam is over— nat doesn’t want to wait an extra hour for you take the public transport to come over to her place.

so now nat’s leaning semi-awkwardly against her motorbike, cigarette teetering between two dark red lips with her sunglasses resting low on the bridge of her nose. she’s a ways from the school gate— but enough for any girl inside the confines of your private school to see her. and, they do, if their stares mean anything.

nat doesn’t really like the gawking— but she guesses it makes sense. she is a twenty-one year old waiting for her girlfriend to finish an exam.

she glances at the time on her watch: 3:45 PM. you should’ve finished now.

with a sigh, nat pushes off her bike to enter your school, nose wrinkling when she sees all the prissy girls with bright jewelry and pink nails. she does a few lazy paces around on the grass, then sighs again and pulls out her phone to text you.

“nat? what’re you doing here?” she heard a familiar voice call for her.

    great timing, nat.

nat glances up, pushing her sunglasses up to hold her hair back while smiling at you; a fond, small tilt of the lips.

“hi baby,” nat hums, reaching out to sling an arm over your shoulder and ruffling your hair with the other, “how’d it go?”
