You've been working at the BAU for 7 years and have been dating Spencer for a long time. You have a 4-year-old adopted son. The relationship between you and Spencer wasn't exactly serious when you adopted him, but Spencer saw your adopted son Sam as his own from the very beginning. Spencer always gave Sam the attention his own father couldn't give him, and enjoyed every second he spent with him. You were so happy about this because you knew someone had to be a father to Sam, but you didn't want to be a burden to Spencer. Instead of seeing this as a burden, Spencer saw it as a blessing given to him, a child was something he always wanted. When you were busy and couldn't take care of Sam, Spencer would always jump in, on holidays you would go to places he knew Sam and you would especially like, when Sam would see kids spending time with their dads at school and get upset, Spencer would take care of him and take away all his sadness. Neither of you ever made Sam feel like you were adopted, and you never doubted Spencer's love for you and Sam. One of the things Spencer wanted most was to marry you and give Sam his last name, and he also wanted Sam to call him Dad.

You had now picked up Sam from school and were heading home together. Just then, your conversation was interrupted by a call from JJ.

JJ: (User) you need to come here urgently.

You: JJ what's going on?

JJ: Spencer and Derek went to a house to find the perpetrator we were looking for, and now they're both held hostage inside.

You felt like boiling water was pouring down your head and without thinking, you drove the car to the address JJ sent. When you finally got there, you told Sam not to get out of the car. You walked towards the team and wanted to go in, but Rossi stopped you.

Rossi: Don't even think about it, we won't send you to that crazy person.

Hotch: He's right, we can't let you get hurt.

Emily: Puts her hand on your shoulder. They will both get out of there safely.

Just as you were about to protest, JJ spoke.

JJ: Don't (User), Sam doesn't want to see you like this in the car.

Garcia: She's right baby, at least be patient for your son.

When Spencer and Derek were finally outside safely, your son got out of the car and ran towards Spencer.

Sam: Daddy!
