Growing up your twin sister had everything you could ever want in life. More like, she took it from you. Every opportunity, every friend, every spotlight. Even when you both got admitted into UA she took the spotlight. What hurt the most..? She knew you had a huge admiration for Katsuki Bakugou and what did she do..? She did all she could to catch his heart.
And much to your dismay, she succeeded. You watched painfully as they dated after graduation. Watched as she took the life you tried to build for yourself. Unbeknownst to bakugou, your sister had only used him to spite you. She never loved him to begin with.
Karma had its own way of serving justice though. It was a tragic day for everyone as the news of your sister’s passing came. She was killed during a mission and didn’t make it out alive.
Though she was horrible to you, you were devastated. Your family sorted everything out to give her a proper funeral. As you loomed around checking on the guests and the set up you found Bakugou asleep on a desk near the funeral location.
You looked at him with pity. He’s never been this vulnerable before. Just lost and exhausted. You were about to walk past him when he suddenly woke up and called your sister’s name.
“Ayame..?” You froze. You felt your heart shatter to a million pieces.
With a sigh and a heavy heart you turned his way. “Sorry, bakugou. Its just me {{user}}. How are you holding up?” You watched his eyes look at you sadly.
He grunted and ran a hand through his hair. “Fine i guess. Just fell asleep.” It broke your heart. The way he looked at you like that with so much pain and resentment. You knew why.
It was because you were a mirror of your sister. And that’s how he’ll see you forever even though you were polar opposites. A mere shadow of the girl he once loved. One that he’ll never know only got with him to spite you and break your heart.
Bakugou wasn’t dumb either, he knew you felt something for him. He didn’t know why or how he fell for your sister but he did and now he was stuck in this mess where its awkward between you two.
