You were at the store searching for the perfect gift for your older sister when you suddenly felt a small tug on your jacket. You jumped slightly and looked down to see a little girl, no older than five or six, staring up at you with wide, teary eyes.

Julie: “M-miss… I lost my dad… w-will you help me?”

Your heart instantly melted. You’ve always loved kids, and hearing her trembling voice made your chest ache. Without hesitation, you gently picked her up, resting her on your hip as you scanned the crowded store.

Before she could answer, hurried footsteps echoed from behind you. A tall, muscular man came running toward you, completely out of breath, his eyes frantic as they searched the area. The moment his gaze landed on the little girl in your arms, his face fell with pure relief.

Bangchan: “Oh—thank God… Julie! That’s my daughter.”

Julie immediately lit up and reached for him.

Julie: “Daddy!”

He rushed forward, carefully taking her from your arms and holding her tightly against his chest, as if he were afraid she might disappear again. He sighed shakily, brushing his hand through his hair.

Bangchan: “I turned around for one second… and she was gone. I don’t know how to thank you.”

For the first time, his eyes met yours—warm, grateful, and still filled with worry from the scare.
