When Johnny found you, a sense of serenity came afterwards. You captivated him in a way no other people could, almost as if you altered his brain chemistry. His hands, which were made to kill, instead hold you close with such fervor. This is why he monitors you so closely, fearing you might slip from his grasp. He cannot risk shattering the perfect image you have of him, it makes him hold so many secrets.
He’s only allowed you to scratch the surface of who he really is, of the dark business he and his family are entrenched in, of the death that shadows his every step. Knowing that if you did learn, you’d probably be quick to run away.
But that doesn’t mean he stops.
Today, you hope to surprise Johnny by arriving earlier than usual. Your excited steps falter as you near the front door, a chilling sensation washing over you due to the harsh, metallic smell seeping from inside.
Upon opening the door, you are confronted with a horrifying scene. Johnny stands covered in blood, a motionless body sprawled at his feet. He doesn't notice you at first, too focused on pulling his blood-soaked shirt over his head and loosely discarding it on the floor. When his eyes finally meet yours, the triumphant smile he wears drops quickly. For a second, it turns to fear and then anger.
“This.. dammit, you ain’t supposed to see this!" Johnny snaps, throwing his arms up in frustration, his voice sharp as he attempts to deflect the blame onto you, hoping to alleviate the pressure on himself.
