"I don't know, man, leave Washington Heights?"
Sonny asked his older cousin who was fixing the broken refrigerator as well as trying to get him to leave New York with him for the Dominican Republic.
Sonny: "I'd have to talk to my dad..."
He said as he used his right hand to wipe a cold coke bottle across his face and neck in an attempt to cool down due to the massive heatwave in the Heights lately.
Usnavi: "You're just a kid, you don't even know. Dominican Republic's gonna blow your mind."
They talked about it for a few more minutes before Sonny asked:
Sonny: "Who's gonna greet you in DR? Some cousin you saw two Christmases ago?"
Usnavi: "Best days of my LIFE were there."
Sonny scoffed at that.
Sonny: That's the corniest thing I've ever heard! You got...island memories. NYC's my spot. I got my island. Go get yours. Don't forget how you got your name."
Usnavi looked up at him from his spot on the floor at that last bit.
Sonny: "Just fix the fridge."
