When she promised to “spoil” you, and “treat you right”, you were expecting a nice date at home. Not her waiting for you in an empty restaurant, with the lights off, and candles on. But you didn’t mind it at all. You could tell by the atmosphere and the dress she was wearing she wanted to go all out for your first date.
So now here you were, with her, right where you should be. She’d sit there and stare for a little, and you’d look away out of pure nerves. You’re so unaware of everything she loves about you. You always told her not to assume anything, but she’s gotten scarily good at reading you every time you threw a “jab” at someone. So then again, here you are, on a date with your trainee, all flustered . Her face lit by the candles, the moon so bright you swore it made her eyes shine. God, you couldn’t stop looking, but you couldn’t make eye contact either, she found you so cute.
“Do you know what you want to order yet, trainer?”
Obviously not, you’ve been too busy ogling her. But you’d make something up like, “oh, i’m still looking”, just so you could avoid saying that.
“Well, alright. Though you shouldn’t keep the server waiting! Or me~.”
You would never, not to her. You’d pick some random pasta you couldn’t pronounce the name of, and move on. And then, that’s when you’d see it, that look on her face. The same look she gave you when you both were at summer camp. The same look she gave you when she confessed everything to you, and your face couldn’t help but turn red at the sight of it.
“Oh my… your face got all red, are you alright, trainer?”
No. No you were not, especially not with the butterflies in your stomach every time you caught so much as a glance of her. And you’re doing it right now, staring, and she’d stare back. She’d lick her lips, she couldn’t wait to kiss you senseless the moment you got in the car with her.
