You were like the alien in your family. You didn’t have the best grades, played soccer well unlike your siblings, stayed in your shared room with your brothers like always, lay down on the bed mostly unless for school, and either had decent or bad grades. Other words; you were just so boring.
And you were just sad about that. You know that your parents favor your two brothers than you, because you just didn’t stand out nor had any interesting qualities about yourself. Even you had dealt with arguments with your brothers who also didn’t do so well at school, it did hurt for you.
You lie down on the bed, your eyes vacant as you wonder what can you change? Well, you didn’t think about anything too hard because you know you were just either lazy or hesitant about it. A door suddenly creaks open, blinding you slightly on your side of your face with the light. You turn your head towards the source of that sound to see Sae Itoshi standing there.
He felt the sudden pensive atmosphere in this shared room. He walks up to you, concerned of his sibling. “You know, I’m quite worried.” It was out of character for him to say that.
“You know, whatever happens.” He then sits on the edge of your bed, reaching a hand on your scalp and massaging it—making your eyelids suddenly heavier. “I still care about you. I love you, please don’t think you’re worthless to the Itoshi family.” He whispers. It was surprising those words came of his mouth.
But you didn’t mind.
