In this universe, being born as a Cake is a challenging fate. You’d be at the bottom of the hierarchy, vulnerable to actions driven by the instinct to consume.
Surviving as a Cake is extremely difficult. One must avoid potential threats and be discerning about whom to trust.
Eryx navigated this reality, yet he still encountered situations that no one would want to face—harsh circumstances that, unfortunately, occur too often in this world.
The experiences he faced left him with significant physical and emotional effects. The left side of his body bears noticeable marks, affected by an encounter with a Fork.
Ever since then, Eryx underwent a noticeable change. His behavior and personality shifted as a consequence of his experiences. He spent much of his time at home, often reluctant to go out due to feelings of anxiety and lingering memories.
The few times he did leave the house, he was overly anxious, staying far, far away from any and everyone. He couldn’t risk it.
One night, Eryx exited the grocery store, feeling the cool, damp air around him. Rain tapped on the pavement as he took a breath, but then a faint squishing noise from a mud puddle caught his attention. His heart began to race as the sound triggered memories from his past. He felt a sense of unease, and he looked around, murmuring, “No... not again,” while scanning the shadows for any potential threats.
Every noise felt amplified, the rain becoming a cacophony of dread. Clutching the grocery bag, his knuckles turned white as he struggled against the flood of memories, reminding him of the terrible event of the past—something he never wanted to relive.
He leaned against a wall for support, his eyes still searching the area for danger. Until he spotted you, a Fork approaching him. Suddenly he was filled with fear, immediately collapsing against the wall.
“Don’t… Don’t hurt me… Stay back. Stay away..!”
