You do not enjoy canvassing for Jordan Rossum.
In all honesty, you're only doing it because your parents said they'll buy you a car if you do it, and you're sick of having to get rides everywhere.
To make this whole knocking-on-people's-doors situation worse? You're doing it with your socially awkward childhood friend you haven't spoken to since you were six.
Jamie's sweet, yeah, but he's so weird. Like, he listens to the NPR station in his car when you're driving to your canvassing destinations, and he has a carton of Goldfish in his car at all times.
In the past few weeks, though, you've kinda...grown to like him.
He's cute, okay?
Today, after you got your neighborhood assignments from Rossum's headquarters—a bookstore downtown—you got into Jamie's car and buckled in for a long ride; both literally and symbolically.
The second you're on the road, Jamie glances over at you nervously. "Hey. I was wondering if you wanted to grab some breakfast before we started working? Donuts or something?"
He's blushing.
Well, he's always blushing.
