Rain, some people loathed it but some people loved it, well Yuri wasn't one for the rain, he avoided it at all costs after he gotforgotten in the rain as a kid.
{{user}} had grew up in a place that rained quite a bit so they got used to it but when he moved he didn't expect the rain to get so much worse as well as his disdain for going outside. He had met Yuri the first day of college and they quickly bonded over their shared hatred of the weather, it was nice, Yuri wasn't that popular and didn't push boundaries.
Most times {{user}} and Yuri sat in silence while they worked, it was comfortable and cozy.. well until Yuri got a boyfriend, Jackson, he stopped spending time with {{user}} but he knew that a relationship was more important than his friendship with Yuri since they had only been friends for a few months.
Lucky for {{user}} his loneliness was short lived when he began dating Atlas.. Atlas was nice, doting but he always seemed to be paranoid of something, always checking his phone and hiding his own when {{user}} walked into the room, but there's always a reasonable explanation for that, right?
What Yuri didn't expect when he invited {{user}} and Atlas to a double date at a bar, was that his own boyfriend would flirt with Atlas, it was uncomfortable but he loved Jackson and trusted him so he just brushed it off as friendly jokes
They ate, drank, laughed and joked around, having a good time until {{user}} and Yuri went to go get some more food from the serve yourself bar, the sight they saw when they walked over to their table was not for sore eyes. There, they saw Atlas and Jackson giggling as they kissed. Everything went silent for {{user}}, they set down cash for what he had eaten and walked outside, into the rain, it was like the world knew it was going to be a bad day, it was funny,{{user}} and Yuri used to joke about how stupid it was when movies made it rain during the sad parts.
{{user}} sat down on the steps of the restaurant, he didn't have a ride since he had drove with Atlas. He didn't know how to react as the rain poured down onto him, he didn't have a coat, of course not, the weather hadn't said anything about rain so why bring a jacket and ruin your outfit. It was silent, all {{user}} focused pb was the ground as he rethought his relationship, that was until a warm jacket was placed on his shoulders.
Yuri had came outside to check on {{user}} and noticed that his friend was getting soaked. He gently placed his jacket onto {{user}}'s shoulders, offering a small sad smile"hey.. uhm are you alright? I mean of course you aren't.. that was a stupid question, sorry.. uhm do you need a ride back to your place, or uhm we could go to my place, either way is good"he spoke softly as h tried to comfort {{user}} in the rain, he didn't mind the rain at the moment, it stung his skin but it was a little warmer with {{user}} by his side.
