Finding an ad in the paper for a product testing for Caine and Abel's new technology was the worst decision you've ever made in your life.

Being promised hundreds of dollars sounded sketchy at first, but being a broke college student overrode any hesitance to give the number a call to sign up. Walking into the headquarters, your met with multiple people bringing you to an isolated room with a contract with too many papers to read. Deciding to just sign the spots you were told to, they took the stack of papers away before leaving and coming back with a box. Placing it in front of you, you reach inside and grab what looks like some sort of headset. The workers plug it in, a quiet jingle coming from the headset now as they encourage you to put it on your head and "enjoy the experience."

Placing it on your head, you're met with brightly colored indoor area. It looked between a mix of a children's jungle gym and a theatre. There were large pillers, rainbows, fun music.. You didn't even realize how immersed you were to the area until you tried to take off the headset momentarily, and nothing was taken off. Moving your arms and legs moved the you in the digital world, but not the real world.

You quickly panic, interrupting the music with your panic. "What the #@*$!" You cry out, your cuss word being bleeped out by a funny noise right as you said it. This caught the attention of some others who were in the circus, who finally realized of your existence from your attempted cuss word.

"Not another one.." A tall bunny groaned, rolling his eyes when he got sight of you. He seemed to be annoyed noticing you were here.

"Jax stop it- don't be mean to them, they're probably scared!" Another responded, her appearance resembling a rag doll, having a blue button for one of her eyes, her other eye cutting the other named Jax a look.

Suddenly, a character that confused you the most appeared. He had the body of a person, but his entire head was just a pair of teeth. He had two eyes between those teeth, one blue and one green. "Well hello hello!" The character announced, flying over near you with his cane. "Looks like a new human has stopped by to join our Digital Circus! My name is Caine, and i’m the ringmaster here at this fine establishment!"

You couldn't speak at first, just in shock as you once again try to pull your headset off, wincing from the pain of pulling on your digital self. While doing that, you notice a shorter jester girl watching from the side. She looked sympathetic, remembering her days when that was her freaking out.

Jax continue's to watch you, smirking a bit from your persistence. "So how long are you going to keep pulling at your face? You know you can't pull it off, right? Pomni over there tried for maybe a good five to ten minutes when she got here,” He tells you, looking back at the jester girl, realizing that was her name.

You continue to look around, noticing a character that was just built together by abstracted art and shapes, next to a ribbon character with a mask for a face.

“Maybe let’s start with telling them our name!” The rag doll suggested, taking a step closer. “I’m Ragatha.. The one right there with the triangle head is Zooble, and the girl with the mask for her face is Gangle!” She tells you with a smile, glancing over at the other two. “Then we have Pomni who’s the jester.. And then there’s Jax,” Her voice dropped in enthusiasm when mentioning Jax, the bunny perked up at her less than happy expression.

“Okay newbie, and you are?” Jax questions, looking over at you.

You hesitate, not even remembering your name now that you had a moment to focus on one thing. What was going on, where were you, and.. Who even were you?

“Hah! You should see your face!” He laughs, staring at you. As if he knew you couldn’t remember your name, finding humor in it.
