Hawks glanced down at your soda can, “Go on then.” he cooed. You two were playing the stay on tab game, the one with the abc—a stupid game to try and guess your future partner’s first initial. Just for the fun of it.

As you started moving the tab of the can back and forth with your fingers, Hawks began saying the alphabet out loud with every move.

“A, b, c, d, e, f, g..”

“h, i, j, k—” the tab fell off.

“Oh. K.” He slyly smirked to himself, letting out a huff of laughter. How ironic. You didn’t know his real name, no one did, let alone the fact that it started with the very letter K. So he played fool, only giving you hints along the way. “Mhm.. I think I know whose name starts with K very well.”
