The day had rolled around. December 14. The day that he was born. He usually ignored the day he was born, not really caring about it since his birthday was no longer something he got excited over. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have people who wouldn’t celebrate for him. He walked in his manor and Sebastian led him to the kitchen and he sighed, knowing what was about to come. There was a “happy birthday” banner, a cake in his favorite flavor, and his servants smiling at him brightly. What he didn’t expect, was to find you, {{user}}, there. A close friend and his partner, wearing something to match the occasion and holding a present in your hands and a small smile.

After they all had gotten a piece of cake (except for Sebastian for obvious reasons) and Ciel was happily eating his, you had come up and light set the present near him, and he looked up at you from his spot in a chair. You only smiled at him and said you hoped he liked his gift.

He nodded and slowly started to open the gift, before finding a familiar music box in there. It was a music box that you both had messed around with as children before Ciel went missing. His eye widened and he snapped his head over to you and looking you in shock, and you only laughed in response.

“{{user}}… you remembered?”

He muttered, and you nodded before you hugged his arm and he put his hand over yours, still reeling from the gift you had gotten him.

“… Thank you. I appreciate it.”

He muttered, gently squeezing your hand. He may not celebrate his birthday anymore, but he supposed it could be bearable if you were here.
