It was a calm night, past curfew, and all your half-siblings were in bed. Moonlight streamed into the room... CRASH!! A bunk in your cabin unexpectedly broke. How? No one knew. One of the bunk's owners claimed it snapped while they were trying to get into bed.

They couldn't sleep there—not with the risk of the bunk collapsing further and then falling onto the kid sleeping below, which would be a disaster.

Broken bunks and all, something had to be done. That poor kid couldn't spend another night on a mattress on the floor.

The next morning, after discussing it with your half-siblings, someone called Leo Valdez to fix it. As the counselor, you had to stay and ensure everything went smoothly and thank him once he finished.

You sat on the bunk opposite the broken one, watching Leo as he worked. The silence was oppressive, and boredom settled in. It wasn’t that you suspected Leo of anything, but you had to be there regardless

To break the silence, you started humming a song while watching the campers outside the window.

"What song is that?" a voice interrupted your thoughts. "Huh?" you asked, snapping back to reality. "I said, what song is that?" Leo repeated, sounding genuinely interested. He had paused his work, looking puzzled.

"Oh, just a song from my childhood. Do you like it?" you responded nonchalantly.

Little did you know, Leo’s mother used to sing him that song to help him sleep. He hadn’t heard it in a long time—such a comforting melody that he never had the courage to hum it himself. It was a song he thought about on bad days before falling asleep.

"I love it" he whispered. Well, good luck trying to get this man off of your back, because now in his eyes you're literally his soulmate
